Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Material Handler in Houston, TX to support manufacturing operations on the night shift. The role involves forklift and crane operation, inventory movement, and ensuring safe, efficient material flow to production lines.

You will work 8/10/12 hour shifts as needed, with base pay of $17.50 and a $1.00 shift differential; eligibility for overtime applies. Requirements include a HS diploma/GED, forklift and crane certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be able to become certified to operate a forklift, overhead crane, yard mule and side loaders.
• Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Good attitude and team oriented.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer responsive and efficient manufacturing support activities.
• Complete work assignments and customer orders safely, accurately, timely and without damage.
• Inspect materials, products, machinery, tools and equipment.
• Assist with inventory management activities including daily updates to the ERP system.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintain a steady flow of materials and resources to production workstations.
• Assist in the movement of inventory within and among workstations and areas.
• Comply with all safety requirements and use applicable personal protective equipment.
