Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products in Middletown, OH is hiring a Night Shift Material Handler for the paint line. You will safely handle and stage material, prepare packaging materials, and ensure coils are properly identified and stored.

Responsibilities include moving coils, verifying identification tickets, quarantining non-conforming material per the HFI process, and cooperating with Maintenance, Operations and Quality Control to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and relevant experience.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Overhead crane experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow safety rules and procedures.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and stage material for production at the paint line.
• Prepare materials for packaging of finished coils.
• Identify finished coils with a ticket and store properly.
• Verify that coils are not damaged or non-conforming before storage.
• Quarantine non-conforming material and notify Quality Control.
• Follow Quality and Environmental Management System guidelines.
• Communicate with Maintenance, Operations and Quality Control daily.
