Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products in Middletown, OH, is seeking a Material Handler to safely stage materials for production at the paint line and to prepare packaging materials for finished coils.

You will verify labeling, prevent damage, quarantine non-conforming material, and collaborate with maintenance, operations and quality control to support a reliable manufacturing process. Forklift/overhead crane experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or experience.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials for packaging and shipping of finished coils.
• Package coils safely and move to designated area for finished goods.
• Verify coils are labeled with an identification ticket prior to storage.
• Quarantine non-conforming material and notify Quality Control when issues exist.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Operations and Quality Control to resolve problems.
