Job summary

nVent in Minnesota is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production and facility equipment. This role focuses on keeping equipment reliable, minimizing downtime, and ensuring a safe, efficient work environment.

The schedule is 4 Days On / 4 Days Off, 7:45 PM – 6:15 AM. You will work with production leaders, complete preventive maintenance, document work, and assist with fabrication and component

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience using computers and common software applications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and accurately document completed work.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime and production disruptions.
• Move, install, anchor, and align production equipment as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, and maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Assist in the fabrication and construction of equipment components and support structures.
• Maintain spare parts inventory required for repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
• Coordinate material requirements for maintenance projects.
• Partner with production leaders, supervisors, and value stream managers to address operational and equipment concerns.
• Follow all safety procedures and proactively identify and report unsafe conditions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and special projects across the facility.
