Job summary

Scot Forge is seeking a Night Shift Manufacturing Foreman in Spring Grove, IL to lead overnight operations, coordinating forging, machining, heat treat and related departments. This 2nd/3rd shift role requires hands-on leadership, safety focus, and the ability to make real-time decisions to maintain quality and production goals.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in metals, forging, or heavy industrial environments.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and shop-floor operations.
• Servant leadership mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of material flow, production processes, and manufacturing operations.
• Intermediate computer skills and experience working with production systems.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment hair follicle drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership and support to production teams during overnight operations.
• Coordinate activities across forging, machining, heat treat, and related departments.
• Make real-time decisions regarding safety, quality, staffing, and production issues.
• Promote clear communication and effective shift-to-shift handoffs.
• Coach and develop employee-owners while reinforcing performance expectations.
• Support production schedules, operational priorities, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain a safe, productive, and quality-focused work environment.
