Job summary

Forte Opening Solutions in Marshfield, WI seeks an experienced Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to lead daily plant activities, balance labor and machines, and ensure output aligns with the Production Schedule.

You will drive lean improvements, coach teams on standard work, and use Tier boards to monitor performance while ensuring safety and quality. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• College degree in a related field preferred; or a high school diploma plus several years in a supervisory role.
• At least 2 years of recent supervisory experience in wood, metal, or similar manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day plant operations: assign work, balance labor and machines, and keep output aligned to the Production Schedule.
• Use production/Tier boards to make performance visible; hold structured reviews and drive corrective actions with owners and deadlines.
• Maintain the integrity of Tier Board data and conduct regular lean process audits to verify standards.
• Train, demonstrate, and coach teams on lean tools, standard work, and continuous improvement.
• Communicate early and often: ensure roles, expectations, and updates cascade clearly through the process.
• Partner with leadership on talent assessment and development; provide routine feedback, recognition, and support.
• Interpret procedures and methods; verify correct and safe use of equipment and adherence to quality documents.
• Recommend improvements to increase productivity and reduce scrap.
• Interview, hire, develop, and lead operations staff; address complaints and resolve issues per company policy and law.
