Job summary

Forte Opening Solutions in Thorp, WI is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to oversee plant activities, supervise production, and delegate tasks to hit KPIs. You will use production boards to keep the team informed, drive lean improvements, and mentor staff in lean tools.

The role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication, and the ability to work independently or with a team. Prior manufacturing supervisory experience and familiarity with ERP systems are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Superior communication, written and verbal.
• Proven leadership in a manufacturing setting.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Strong organizational and coaching skills.
• Experience with Paycom/Workday or ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant activities and overall production.
• Delegate work and track KPIs using production boards.
• Maintain data integrity on lean metrics and boards.
• Train, coach, and develop assigned staff in lean tools.
• Collaborate with leadership to assess talent and address gaps.
• Communicate effectively across all levels of the process.
• Direct production per schedule, maximize resources and efficiency.
• Identify improvements to boost productivity and reduce scrap.
• Assist staff with procedures and proper equipment use.
• Support quality policies and adherence to standards.
• Involve in interviewing, hiring, and development of operations staff.
