Job summary

Somafina is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for Lindon, UT, operating 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM on the production floor. You will diagnose equipment and process issues in real time, run experiments to boost throughput and quality, and implement lasting improvements.

The role targets an early-career engineer with strong analytical instincts and curiosity about manufacturing. Gummies/nutraceutical experience is a plus; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or related engineering discipline.
• Strong fundamentals in root cause analysis, process thinking and data-driven problem solving.
• Comfortable on the production floor with hands-on troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Owns technical troubleshooting for Lindon production operations during the overnight shift.
• Designs and runs process improvement experiments with data-driven validation.
• Partners with the Plant Manager and VP to prioritize bottlenecks and improvements.
• Writes and revises SOPs and technical documentation for consistent execution.
• Ensures GMP/OSHA compliance across all engineering and process changes.
