Job summary

Wendy in Norwich, CT seeks a responsible Shift Manager to oversee opening/closing duties and daily operations, ensuring restaurant effectiveness, quality and customer service. You will train crew, supervise Team Trainers, and coordinate scheduling to meet service standards while maintaining a safe, professional environment.

The role requires the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting, strong service orientation, and willingness to obtain ServSafe certification by training end.

Qualifications

• Must have or be willing to obtain ServSafe certification by end of training.
• 6 months or more of restaurant, retail, customer service or equivalent experience.
• Available for full time and close shifts; able to work all day parts and days of the week.

Responsibilities

• Train, monitor, and reinforce food safety procedures to crew members.
• Act as Cash Manager as needed, including setting up cash registers at open and verifying cash at close.
• Perform walk-thru to ensure restaurant is ready to open/close and/or rush-ready.
• Supervise crew members and Team Trainers to maximize retention and service quality.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures to delight every customer.
