Job summary

C Cerrowire is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician in Hartselle, AL. The role focuses on keeping the plant safe and reliable by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on complex equipment.

The candidate will troubleshoot motors, drives, electrical circuits, hydraulic systems, and robotics, read ladder logic and diagrams, and may work with PLCs. A strong background in industrial maintenance and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.

Qualifications

Post-secondary schooling in an industrial maintenance related field (Associates degree) is required or preferred.
3 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or 5–7 years as a multi-skill technician.
Experience troubleshooting motors, drives, electrical circuits, hydraulics, and robotics.
Ability to read electrical and mechanical diagrams; PLC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain plant equipment to keep it safe and reliable.
Respond to unplanned downtime and breakdowns on machines.
Plan and perform maintenance for non-routine problems.
Troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify root causes.
Design, fabricate, install mechanical/electronic equipment; perform program changes.
Weld stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum; fabricate guards as needed.
Support safety, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead shutdowns and major maintenance activities; coordinate and execute them.
