Job summary
Fischer Paper Products in Antioch, IL seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician III for the night shift to keep manufacturing equipment running at peak performance. You’ll participate in preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, and support plant safety and quality programs.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years in industrial maintenance, read schematics, and are comfortable with PLCs, VFDs, and robotics integration to improve reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications
- 5+ years industrial maintenance in manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose issues and reduce downtime through problem solving.
- Read electrical schematics and manuals to support repairs.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
- Support facility, utility, and building maintenance needs.
- Follow safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
- Ensure GMP, HACCP, sanitation, and food safety standards.
