Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Madison is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Technician II to support the facilities team on a full-time schedule. You’ll perform repairs and preventive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks to keep the hospital safe and operational.

Requires one year of maintenance experience. Night shift 11:00 PM–7:30 AM with every-third weekend rotation and no on-call duties.

Qualifications

• One year of maintenance experience.
• Ability to read work orders.
• Able to use basic hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs according to work orders or verbal instructions and documents tasks.
• Performs basic plumbing and electrical repairs including lighting fixtures.
• Performs basic carpentry and assists with drywall, walls, flooring, countertops and shelving.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment; handles debris and material movement.
• Enters work orders and closes them in the electronic record-keeping system.
• Researches products and solutions to problems.
• Maintains safe operation of equipment and reports hazards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
