Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Madison, WI to perform general repairs and preventive maintenance across facility systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing and controls within office, R&D, GMP and Clinical locations.

The role includes a night shift (Sunday–Wednesday, 10:00 pm–8:30 am) and requires lifting up to 40 pounds, occasional travel between local locations, and on-call duties. You will use CMMS for work orders and support safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electrical or mechanical maintenance or 2 years of related experience.
• 4+ years of experience in building maintenance, construction, or mechanical repair.
• Proficient with hand tools, multi-meters, and various test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Enter and prioritize work orders in the CMMS system.
• Perform preventive and demand maintenance with proper documentation and closure.
• Conduct daily/weekly/monthly inspections of building systems and respond to issues.
• Assist with safety, regulatory compliance, and project-related tasks.
