Job summary

James Hardie is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for the PVC D Crew on a 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM shift. The role focuses on keeping production lines and auxiliary equipment operating reliably in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and collaborate with vendors to resolve issues. A strong welding background and forklift capability are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Two-year maintenance certification preferred.
• Welding experience with structural welding certification a plus.
• Forklift experience or ability to obtain TT Forklift Certification.
• Flexible work schedule to meet business needs.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Keep production lines and equipment running at all times.
• Maintain guarding and safety equipment on production lines.
• Perform lockout/tagout on lines; isolate energy and apply locks.
• Support preventative maintenance on the shift.
• Assist line commissioning after maintenance events.
• Assist with other plant projects as needed.
• Interact with vendors and equipment manufacturers as needed.
• Be self-directed, multi-task in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
