Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Gaylord, MN facility. The 12-hour night shift (6:00pm–6:00am) supports preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure uptime and asset reliability in a food processing environment.

The role emphasizes safety, GMP compliance, and collaboration with plant teams to drive continuous improvement. Experience with SAP and PM programs is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
• 1 year of maintenance technician experience preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&ID diagrams preferred.
• Prior SAP experience preferred.
• Able to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to improve asset health.
• Troubleshoot equipment and support startups and process improvements.
• Maintain accurate records and support reliability reporting.
• Follow GMP, safety, and quality procedures to ensure food safety and compliance.
• Work scheduled shifts including weekends and holidays.
