Job summary

Cérélia North America is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Hazelwood, MO facility. In this role you will maintain electrical and mechanical systems in a food processing setting, troubleshoot complex equipment, and support safety, quality, and production goals.

The position requires hands-on skills across electrical controls, hydraulics, welding, and general maintenance. You will work 4:00pm–2:30am, Monday through Thursday, with a $1.00 second-shift differential and full-time hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years in industrial maintenance or 4 years in food manufacturing maintenance.
• Technical diploma or associate degree preferred.
• Ability to function effectively in a team and interact with all levels.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and prioritize effectively.
• Experience with CMMS software is a plus.
• Forklift/Genie lift/SCissor lift experience.
• Familiarity with OSHA, GMP, USDA and FDA is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Receives work orders, reviews tools, time, manpower, parts and supplies needed.
• Respond to crisis calls with basic tools to perform work at scene.
• Read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Maintain logs and activity records.
• Observe equipment to detect malfunctions.
• Disassemble equipment, replace worn parts, reassemble, test.
• Test subsystems to localize problems.
• Fabricate replacement parts; welding or sheet metal work.
