Job summary

Mennel Milling Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician I (Nights) to support production, quality and warehouse by maintaining and improving plant equipment reliability. The role emphasizes food safety adherence, problem solving and teamwork in a fast-paced milling environment.

The position features a 10-hour shift schedule that rotates days of the week, with weekend work (every other) and possible holidays. Training and safety compliance are emphasized throughout the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to work in high places and complete overhead work.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to use troubleshooting tools including multimeter and current meter.
• Must be able to weld including resistance, MIG and TIG welding.
• Basic electrical skills, troubleshooting motor control circuits and understanding electrical safety preferred.
• Familiarity with CMMS and machine shop equipment; ability to design, develop, document and fabricate machine parts.
• Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to listen well and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow all food and personal safety rules and regulations (GMP/OSHA/HACCP etc.) and maintain audit-ready condition.
• Repair and maintain bearings, seals, lubrication systems, machine alignment, and other complex systems.
• Transfer knowledge to operators regarding basic mechanical adjustments and repairs.
• Pass along KPI knowledge and report effectively.
• Attend required training sessions and continuously upgrade skills.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervision immediately.
• Other duties may be assigned.
