Job summary

Simmons Pet Food, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to repair and maintain production equipment in a food processing facility. The role involves welding, electrical and mechanical repairs, hydraulics, and troubleshooting to ensure continuous operation.

Shifts include nights from 11:45pm to 6:00am and 5:45pm to 6:00am on other days. The candidate should have a High School diploma or equivalent and be fluent in English; prior poultry or food processing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent; must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Experience or vocational training in welding, electrical or mechanical repair, and refrigeration or hydraulics.
• Industry experience: poultry or food processing preferred.
• Competencies: Communication skills & decision quality.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, replaces, corrects or affects equipment as needed to ensure equipment operates correctly and efficiently.
• Consults with Engineers and vendors as needed. Troubleshoots equipment.
• Meets safety requirements and adheres to policies and regulations.
• Participates in team meetings and supports team cohesiveness; helps implement programs and policies.
