Job summary

Simmons Prepared Foods Inc is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for the night shift at our on-site Arkansas facility. You will perform repairs, replacements, and troubleshooting to keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently.

The role requires experience or vocational training in welding, electrical or mechanical repair, and refrigeration or hydraulics, plus strong English skills and a High School Diploma or equivalent. Poultry/food processing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience or vocational training in welding, electrical or mechanical repair.
• Experience with refrigeration or hydraulics.
• Industry experience in poultry or food processing preferred.
• Good command of English language, both written and spoken.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, replaces, corrects or affects equipment as needed to ensure equipment operates correctly and efficiently according to production requirements.
• Consults with engineers and vendors; troubleshooting equipment and performing layout work for projects.
• Meets safety requirements and complies with all policies and regulations.
• Participates in team development, communication and policy implementation; coordinates work for best practices and teamwork.
• Familiar with Simmons operating systems principles and objectives and supports the systems.
• Performs other duties as necessary to support business objectives.
• Enters and locates information on a computer; adheres to safety standards and PPE protocols.
