Job summary

Simmons Prepared Foods Inc is seeking a Maintenance Tech for the D shift to support equipment reliability in our poultry processing facility. You will assist in repairs, routine maintenance, and efficient operation to meet production requirements.

Ideal candidates have vocational training in welding, electrical or mechanical repair, refrigeration or hydraulics, and are able to work in extreme temperatures and lift up to 150 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience or vocational training in welding, electrical or mechanical repair, and refrigeration or hydraulics.
• Industry experience preferred in poultry or food processing.
• Competencies include communication skills and decision quality.
• Physical requirements include lifting 75-150 pounds and working in extreme temperatures.
• Military experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, replaces, corrects or affects equipment to meet production needs.
• Consults with engineers and vendors; conducts project layout and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Follows Simmons operating systems and company policies on safety, environment and procedure.
• Performs other duties to support business objectives as needed.
• Participates in team development, communicates policies and plans, and contributes to synergy within the organization.
