Job summary

Leggett & Platt is seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians for our Merit Steel location in Kouts, Indiana. The role supports electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure safe, efficient operations on a Sunday through Friday, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in industrial maintenance or completed a technical program. Welding and torching skills are advantageous and a strong ability to read wiring schematics is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Experience with 110V, 220V, 277V and 480V single/three-phase systems.
• Ability to read wiring schematics and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and boiler systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance measures.
• Install new manufacturing equipment and support in improvements for all manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
