Job summary

Lesaffre Cedar Rapids plant is seeking a Maintenance Technician to sustain and repair plant electrical and mechanical systems. You will help with construction and installation of electrical upgrades and modifications, and support other technicians as needed.

The role follows a rotating night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM and requires strong problem-solving skills, PLC literacy, and familiarity with CMMS and plant equipment. We offer comprehensive benefits and long-term growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field.
Ability to use test equipment for diagnosing electrical circuits and equipment.
Ability to read PLC logic and electrical diagrams.
Ability to read equipment manuals and use troubleshooting guides.
Willingness to use a computer daily.
Familiar with various hand and power tools and lifting equipment.
mechanically inclined to determine how equipment functions.
Forklift, man lift, production equipment and power tools training may be required.

Responsibilities

Maintain, repair, and calibrate plant electrical and mechanical equipment across the Cedar Rapids campus.
Perform daily rounds and weekly PM tasks; document work in CMMS.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using PLC interfaces and diagnostic tools.
Assist with electrical upgrades, equipment modifications, and control panel construction.
Support other technicians with inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs; document progress and PM reports.
Operate and maintain records in CMMS (MAPCON) and communicate via MS Outlook.
