Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the PCPF-O&M department, responsible for critical 24/7 facility operations impacting patient care.

Ideal candidates have hands-on multi-trade experience with emphasis on plumbing, electrical work, and customer service, plus CMMS exposure. Must be able to work independently on weekend night shifts in a healthcare environment, maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree in a trade or technical field.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on MEP systems.
• Maintain accurate records of materials, work performed, and related documentation.
• Notify management of identified equipment repairs.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Provide initial HVAC response and assist with equipment repair or replacement.
• Carry out plumbing tasks such as unclogging and fixtures maintenance.
• Perform electrical tasks including lamp and switch replacements.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of work areas.
