Job summary

General Mills Richmond Plant is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the night shift (7pm-7am) on a 2-2-3 schedule. The role includes installing, maintaining and repairing industrial processing and packaging machinery, with opportunities to lead equipment troubleshooting and continuous improvement projects.

Starting pay is $37.79 per hour, with shift differential for hours 7pm–7am. Overtime, weekends, and holidays are required as needed; plant operates 24/7 and offers strong PTO, 401(k), and

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance or related industry experience.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of PLC operation, electrical motors, gearbox and components along with systems troubleshooting, including use of a multimeter.

Responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing industrial processing and packaging machinery, work tools and equipment.
• Identifying and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Providing technical support and plant leadership for equipment troubleshooting and equipment modifications.
• Design and layout circuits, installing fixtures, wiring conduits, motors, and other electrical equipment/components.
• Performing/assisting with sheet metal fabrication; performing mig, tig, arc welding.
• Performing both uptime and down time preventative maintenance.
