Job summary

Staples Supply Chain is seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, motors, and material-handling equipment within our warehouse environment. You will also handle building maintenance and carpentry tasks as needed while adhering to strict safety practices.

The role requires basic English, a GED or high school diploma, and at least one year of related experience, with potential overtime and the ability to work at heights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of related maintenance experience.
• Able to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• Full-Time associate may require overtime based on business needs.
• Able to work at heights up to 60 feet or more.
• Able to lift/push/pull boxes/merchandise weighing 70–100 lbs.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Trade school background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and spontaneous maintenance on conveyors, motors, material handling equipment, and assorted tools and machinery.
• Carry out general building maintenance including overhead doors, roll carts, floors, gates, doors, and carpentry as needed.
• Uphold safety practices and contribute to the safety culture.
• Support Staples Supply Chain operations to ensure reliable customer delivery.
