Job summary

Dawn Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for our 24/7 multi-line bakery facility. You will repair, maintain and improve industrial machinery and electrical devices to keep lines running and processes efficient.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance (highly desired), 3+ years in food manufacturing maintenance, strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, PLC/HVAC knowledge, and proficiency with basic computer tools and MS

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Industrial Maintenance is highly desired.
• Minimum of three (3) years of maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Extensive experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems; able to troubleshoot and repair.
• PLC and HVAC knowledge is highly desired.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively with maintenance employees and other departments.
• Understand OSHA regulations including LOTO, PPE, confined space, working at heights.
• Basic computer skills; familiar with Microsoft Office.
• Possess and utilize personal tool set.

Responsibilities

• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Performs preventative maintenance, lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as wiring and components.
• Installs and maintains pipe systems and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment; repairs gauges, valves, and regulators.
• Repairs and maintains the establishment's physical structure.
• Operates cutting torch or welding equipment.
• Repairs forklifts as needed.
• Fabricates and repairs equipment or machines.
• Works safely and promotes a culture of safety.
• Coordinates with other departments to maintain efficient operations.
