Job summary

Tekni-plex Packaging in Lawrenceville, GA is seeking a Maintenance Tech to perform general maintenance on production equipment and plant facilities. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair moderate to complex problems and read blueprints, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.

This night-shift position requires a two-year degree or equivalent, at least 7 years of related experience, and commitment to safety.

Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing, industrial or related mechanical and electrical repair.
Skilled in all phases of Maintenance including basic electrical, mechanical, machining, welding, carpentry, plumbing and painting.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs moderate to complex equipment problems.
Reads blueprints, understands plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
Performs general facility maintenance to improve or modify facility.
Performs mold changes and modifications.
Assist in installation, assembly, and set-up of production machinery.
Repairs facility equipment such as HVAC, electrical/electronic or material handling equipment.
Follows plant preventative maintenance procedures.
Understands extrusion and production processes and materials used.
Welds and assists in installation, modification, and operation of production equipment.
Is capable of data entry and some analysis of Maintenance Management System.
Follows and participates in plant safety/housekeeping guidelines.
