Job summary

Oregon Ice Cream in Eugene, OR is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support production equipment reliability. This full-time role includes preventive, corrective maintenance and quick diagnostics to minimize downtime and maintain product quality.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems, log work in the CMMS, and collaborate with the production team on changeovers and calibrations. A high school diploma or GED is required; trade schooling or certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or food production maintenance role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with proven ability to work with tools, machinery, and mechanical systems.
• Working knowledge of motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, compressors, and hydraulic systems.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting and knowledge of PLC-controlled systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems for manufacturing and packaging equipment.
• Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance per established schedules.
• Quickly diagnose mechanical issues to reduce equipment downtime and maintain product quality.
• Collaborate with production teams to support machine set-ups, changeovers, and calibrations.
• Use CMMS to log work orders and equipment history.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with GMP, OSHA, and food safety standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives projects as needed.
