Job summary

Oregon Ice Cream LLC in Eugene, Oregon, is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to ensure reliable operation of production equipment and facility systems. This full-time, hourly role performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and support continuous frozen dessert production.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, perform routine inspections, and collaborate with production teams on machine set-ups and changeovers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or food production maintenance role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to work with tools, machinery, and mechanical systems.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting and PLC knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems for manufacturing and packaging equipment.
• Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance per established schedules.
• Quickly diagnose mechanical issues to reduce equipment downtime and maintain product quality.
• Collaborate with production teams to support machine set-ups, changeovers, and calibrations.
• Use CMMS to log work orders and equipment history.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in GMP, OSHA, and food safety standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives projects as needed.
