Foster Farms is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for our facility in California. The role focuses on keeping production equipment safe, reliable and efficient on the Swing Shift.

You will troubleshoot, repair and improve plant systems, with emphasis on electrical and mechanical disciplines. Qualified candidates have five or more years in industrial maintenance, hold Journeyman status, and can read schematics, work with PLCs, and weld as needed.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Must have Journey Level Mechanic qualifications.
• Able to read, write and communicate effectively in English; perform basic math.
• Strong knowledge of electronics and PLCs.
• Able to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Proficient with welding and cutting equipment; plant maintenance expertise.
• Understand electrical controls, motor controls, VFDs, relays, and solid-state devices.
• Familiar with pumps and gear ratios; proper PPE usage.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and guidelines.
• Metal fabrication skills; mill and lathe knowledge.
• Able to climb and work safely in confined spaces; pass Industrial Maintenance Test.
• Able to lift 50 pounds; work overtime, weekends as needed.

Responsabilités

• Ensure production equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently.
• Observe equipment to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform repairs with minimal downtime.
• Perform equipment modifications when approved by supervision.
