Job summary

Kreider Farms in Lancaster County, PA is hiring a Night Shift Maintenance Tech for our Milk Processing Plant in Manheim. You'll maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems across industrial equipment, ensuring uptime on a 10-hour night shift (7:00pm–5:00am) four days per week.

Responsibilities include installing components, performing preventive maintenance, reading schematics, and coordinating with teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in electrical or mechanical systems.
• 3 years of industrial maintenance experience including mechanical/electrical, robotics, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic work.
• Ability to read/interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Electrical Technician, Mechanical Technician) are a plus.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for long periods, and work in various environments (e.g., confined spaces, heights).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous Dairy/Fluid processing experience preferred.
• Experience in sanitary/food manufacturing facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure electrical and mechanical components of industrial machinery, including motors, pumps, conveyors, and control systems
• Maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance, including lubrication, adjustments, and parts replacement
• Troubleshoot/Diagnose/Repair electrical and mechanical issues
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to comply with company policies and industry regulations
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime
