Job summary

Diageo in Plainfield, Illinois is seeking a Maintenance Team Lead to provide hands-on technical leadership for the maintenance team on a 12-hour night shift. You will coordinate maintenance activities, lead troubleshooting, and ensure safe, reliable operation of production equipment.

The role requires strong mechanical/electrical skills, PLC basics, and experience with SAP PM and CMMS. You will collaborate with multiple teams to drive PM improvements and maintain equipment reliability.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred.
Strong industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
Basic PLC and industrial controls troubleshooting experience.
Experience with automated manufacturing or packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day technical leadership to maintenance employees on the shift.
Coordinate maintenance activities based on safety, production impact, and PM plans.
Lead troubleshooting during equipment breakdowns and provide direction for repairs.
Participate in RCA and corrective actions for recurring failures.
Document maintenance work in SAP and ensure proper handoff between shifts.
Collaborate with Production, Controls/Automation, Engineering and Planning.
