Job summary

Diageo in Plainfield, IL is seeking an Asset Care & Engineering Manager to lead maintenance planning, asset care, and engineering projects on a 24/7 basis. You will drive MMS/TRACC initiatives, ensure GMP compliance, manage a team of supervisors and planners, and collaborate on budgets and capital spend.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and canning/bottling plant expertise, with a focus on reliability and process improvement in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Management or Engineering with at least 5 years in fast‑paced canning/bottling
• Proven track record developing a team of managers
• Knowledge of SAP, Planned Maintenance, Environmental and Quality Systems
• Strong analytical and budgeting skills
• LEAN, Six Sigma TPM, MMS, and/or Manufacturing Excellence experience
• MMS and TRACC system experience
• Thorough working knowledge of high speed canning/bottling operations, including machine operations, changeovers, start‑up, shut‑down, package quality, OSHA standards, and BATF compliance

Responsibilities

• Lead group of Supervisors, Maintenance planners and engineering spares clerks across 24/7 operation
• Lead planning team in GMP, MSS tasks and housekeeping guidelines
• Identify, lead, support and implement site engineering projects
• Drive asset care planning maturity with MMS concepts via TRACC system
• Develop planner reference systems and support maintenance craft teams
• Collaborate with Asset Care Director on maintenance expenditures and budgets
• Lead maintenance records, reports and key metrics for planning meetings
• Support capital expenditure projects and optimize spares inventory
