Job summary

STF is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to lead maintenance for our meat processing plant. You will supervise repair, maintenance and installation of process equipment and work with the Plant Engineer to ensure safe, reliable operations.

This role requires strong management and communication skills, experience in mechanical fields, and ability to plan PM schedules, coordinate with sanitation and safety teams, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred; five years mechanical field experience and five years supervisor in mechanical field and 2-3 years of experience in a meat processing facility desired.
• Excellent management skills utilizing sound management principles in leading a team of employees.
• Proven ability to recruit, train and motivate personnel.
• Bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and control maintenance activities for buildings and equipment; coordinate work to keep Plant in operation; maintain preventative maintenance schedule; control mechanical inventories.
• Coordinate maintenance for plant shutdowns (Hot side, Cold side, Material Handling).
• Oversee PM Crew including automated equipment, tooling, conveyors and related systems.
• Ensure safety policy compliance; provide feedback on accidents and preventive measures.
• Work with OSHA/FSIS as needed to meet regulatory requirements.
• Lead subordinates, delegate work, review performance and implement training.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve safety and reliability.
