Job summary

Dick's Sporting Goods is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the distribution center operations. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing facility equipment, including conveyors, PLCs, hydraulics, and electrical systems, while adhering to safety and PM standards.

You will train junior technicians and collaborate with vendors on DC projects, ensuring timely and safe completion of tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• 2-year vocational technical certificate in mechanical or electrical field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software and equipment.
• Ability to read electrical or mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements including OSHA standards and LOTO.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment; follow PM standards and document work in the asset management system; expertise in PLCs, conveyors, 3-phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing.
• Report spare parts inventory levels and daily usage to Maintenance leadership.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians.
• Work with outside vendors to complete DC projects safely and timely.
• Take on other duties to support the DC and its operational needs.
