Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician for our distribution center. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing facility equipment, conveyors, and electrical/mechanical systems, while adhering to PM standards and safety protocols.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of maintenance experience, read electrical drawings, and demonstrates strong safety awareness. The position involves physical work and collaboration with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent preferred.
• 2-year vocational/technical certificate or degree in mechanical or electrical field favored.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a DC or similar facility.
• Welding, burning and cutting experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages and equipment.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance with OSHA/LOTO.
• Able to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA and safety requirements for LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems; follow PM standards and document work in asset management system.
• Report spare parts inventory levels and daily usage to leadership.
• Train junior technicians to improve troubleshooting and repair performance.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to complete DC projects safely and timely.
• Perform other duties to support DC operations.
