Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods in Portland, ME is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to maintain, troubleshoot and repair facility equipment, conveyors, hydraulics and PLCs within our distribution center, ensuring reliable operations and safety compliance.

This full-time role uses a Tue–Fri 5:30p–3:30a shift, pays $29.55/hr with a $1/hr shift premium, and offers a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates should have 3–5 years of related experience and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in mechanical/electrical field.
• 2-year vocational technical certificate or degree in mechanical/electrical applications.
• 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages (e.g., Crown PM, Gage) and equipment.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness and OSHA LO/LOTO familiarity.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in the facility and conveyance systems; follow PM standards and document work.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily usage to Maintenance leadership.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians.
• Work with outside vendors to complete projects within the DCs safely and timely.
• Take on other duties to support DC operations.
