Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a maintenance technician for our distribution center in Dalton, GA. The role requires mechanical/electrical expertise to maintain conveyors, PLCs, hydraulics, and related equipment.

The position offers a Tuesday–Friday night shift (5:30pm–3:30am) with a rate of $29.55/hr plus a $1/hr shift differential. OSHA/LOTO safety compliance and background checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent required.
• 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in mechanical or electrical application.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages (e.g. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment.
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness.
• Lift up to 75 lbs. and stand/bend/reach as needed.
• Experience with LOTO.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility and conveyance systems equipment; follow PM standards and document work for asset management.
• Report spare parts inventory levels and daily usage to Maintenance leadership.
• Train junior technicians to elevate their performance.
• Work with outside vendors to complete DC projects safely and timely.
• Take on other duties to support the DC and its needs.
