Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a production maintenance mechanic responsible for installing, inspecting, repairing and maintaining equipment across the facility to support daily production targets. The role covers HVAC, pumps, conveyors, mixers and related systems with emphasis on safety, documentation and rapid response to breakdowns.

The ideal candidate brings at least 1 year of manufacturing maintenance experience, PLC knowledge and electrical/pneumatic skills, plus relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of mechanic experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
• Preferred: 2+ years in a manufacturing/distribution environment, PLC experience, electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic knowledge.
• Industrial/electrical/welding certification or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on equipment
• Repair broken machines and equipment quickly and efficiently
• Identify causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines
• Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts
• Order and install replacement parts for machines
• Assist in electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs
• Assist in pipe fitting tasks and perform some installation unassisted
• Maintain and service building equipment including HVAC, lighting, water and sewer
• Maintain documentation as required
• Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintain shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines
• Maintain technical knowledge through training
