Job summary

Trident Seafoods is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, install and adjust industrial production equipment for night shifts. You will work 6pm–6am on a 7-on/7-off schedule, coordinating with the HazMat team and maintenance colleagues.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, familiarity with hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and preventive maintenance knowledge. Paid time off, benefits, and growth opportunities are offered by Trident Seafoods.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of industrial maintenance, manufacturing, mechanical, military, agricultural, marine, or related experience; or completion of a technical trades program.
• Five years of industrial mechanical experience (preferred).
• PLC and Frequency drive knowledge is preferred but not required.
• One year certificate or degree in maintenance related field.
• Knowledge of 3-phase and control voltage wiring.
• Understanding of a Preventive Maintenance program.
• Experience performing sanitary welding (Food Contact surface).
• Experience with plumbing, Pro-press and threaded connections.
• Class 2B boiler license or ability to obtain one.
• Ammonia refrigeration knowledge is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, install and adjust industrial production and processing equipment.
• Work the night shift: 6pm–6am, 7 on/7 off, Thursday through Wednesday.
• Observe equipment in operation and locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantle devices to access/replace defective parts.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers and gauges.
• Install functional and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricate and clean parts, equipment and machinery.
• Test and adjust equipment to meet specs.
• Operate lathe, drill press, grinders and other metalworking tools.
• Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.
• Repair electrical equipment and replace like equipment as needed.
• Test faulty equipment and diagnose malfunctions.
• Participate in HazMat team training.
