Job summary

Mondelez International in Naperville, IL is seeking a Journeyperson Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. You will read drawings, work with hydraulics and drives, and collaborate with operations to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Must have at least 2 years of manufacturing experience and an approved apprenticeship or training.

Qualifications

Two years of manufacturing experience in a similar role.
Completed approved Apprenticeship or Training.
Able to work in a team-based environment with limited supervision.
Learn and apply Continuous Improvement tools (IL6S).
Capable of working as part of a High Performance Team.
Able to work any shift, weekends and holidays as required.
Ability to problem solve and implement practical solutions.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment and repair/replace defective parts.
Read and interpret drawings/blueprints.
Work with pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, drives, machining, some electrical tasks, hand tools, and welding.
Operate forklifts, manlifts, ladders, and scaffolds.
Collaborate with Electrical/Boiler/Operations teams as needed.
Participate in teams to improve reliability and productivity.
Log all work in SAP and support CMMS enhancements.
Work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
Apply LOTO, hot work, and confined space permits.
Protect company investments through proper care and procedures.
Support HACCP, QCMS, and related initiatives.
