Job summary

Agropur is seeking a Maintenance Technician III for our Little Chute, WI facility. You will perform routine and breakdown maintenance on processing and packaging equipment to keep the plant running in compliance with safety policies and regulations.

You will lead, mentor, and train maintenance staff, manage preventive maintenance tasks, and partner with production to minimize downtime while ensuring quality. The role includes screening equipment manuals and supporting PM programs.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate with crew across shifts.
• Coordinate with Supervisors and line teams to collect information for work.
• Perform regular and preventive maintenance per SOPs and GMPs; keep records up to date.
• Provide emergency repairs on mechanical/electrical equipment during production.
• Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Update and install equipment as needed.
• Work with production to minimize downtime while preserving quality.
• Maintain knowledge of plant processes.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
• Train or mentor new Maintenance Technicians as needed.
• Prioritize daily workload; manage rush requests.
• Oversee the preventive maintenance program: review PMs, schedule, assign, track completion.
• Responsible for food safety and quality; backup for Supervisor/Manager on these areas.
• Complete and update work orders using in-house systems.
• Regular contact with suppliers/vendors; occasional contact with regulatory agencies.
