Job summary

PFNonwovens is seeking a Line Maintenance Technician for nights (7pm-7am) in Hazleton, PA. The role leads shift mechanics, handles trouble calls, and improves line performance through proactive maintenance and clear documentation.

The successful candidate will have HS/technical maintenance background, strong English communication, and proven leadership in a process-manufacturing environment with strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Three years or more technical/maintenance experience in process manufacturing.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and success working in demanding environments.
• Very good knowledge of plant equipment and processes.
• Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues; seek training for gaps.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Fluent English communication (written and verbal).
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Observes safety rules and uses proper safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Notifies appropriate personnel of real or potential safety hazards or violations and takes immediate corrective action.
• Leads and assists in shift activities, including coordinating, planning, answering trouble calls, problem-solving, repairs, and work prioritization for team members; completes maintenance work orders.
• Conducts and leads effective team meetings and training activities (daily turnover, equipment improvement meetings, mentoring).
• Promotes constructive interpersonal relationships between all team members.
• Provides feedback on technician performance for quarterly and annual reviews.
• Coaches and counsels individuals on performance improvement under supervision.
• Ensures clear direction and purpose for assigned tasks.
• Maintains collaboration between teams and with customers.
