Job summary

Alliance Workforce Management is seeking a Maintenance Helper to support a high-volume meat processing facility. The role involves assisting with inspections, basic repairs, preventive maintenance, and general upkeep in a cold, fast-paced production environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and some maintenance experience in industrial or food settings, with basic plumbing knowledge and ability to read/write English.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• English reading/writing required; Spanish helpful but not mandatory.
• Basic plumbing and general building maintenance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Inspect waste storage areas and assist with wastewater system maintenance.
• Support technicians with preventive maintenance on conveyors, refrigeration units, boilers, and production machinery.
• Perform basic mechanical tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing minor parts under supervision.
• Move tools, parts, and equipment to work locations throughout the plant.
• Maintain a clean, organized maintenance shop and work areas.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and food-safety procedures.
• Assist with equipment installation, setup, and relocation.
• Respond to urgent repair needs and help reduce downtime.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and other required safety protocols.
• Complete additional duties assigned by supervisors.
