Job summary

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, performing basic math for part fabrication, and maintaining tooling and equipment.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints and schematics to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Ability to perform basic math including geometry and trigonometry for part fabrication.
• Adherence to safety procedures and quality guidelines in a precision machining environment.
• Experience operating machine tools and performing setup for production runs.
• Knowledge of metallurgy and standard machine shop practices.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety practices and site policies while performing machining tasks.
• Interpret drawings, calculate indices and dimensions for parts to be manufactured or repaired.
• Set up and operate lathes, grinders, mills and hones; perform layout and inspection as required.
• Dismantle, assemble and repair production equipment; maintain tooling and inspect tooling quality.
• Ensure environmental and safety compliance when handling materials and wastes.
