Job summary

Sonoco in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Production and Maintenance Technician to operate, troubleshoot and maintain high-speed packaging equipment on the night shift. You will perform preventive maintenance, disassembly and rebuilds, and inspections to meet customer specifications.

The role requires strong mechanical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor or GED: High school diploma or equivalent.

• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Capable of operating, adjusting, and repairing high-speed production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, adjust, and repair production equipment to meet specifications.
• Disassemble, overhaul, and rebuild production equipment.
• Troubleshoot production equipment as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Inspect in-process and finished materials.
• Replenish supplies, materials, parts, and tooling for the area.
• Access, input, and retrieve information from the computer.
• Communicate information to the next shift.
• Maintain required hand tools and perform clean-up tasks.
• Rotate through all workstations as needed.
