Job summary

Precera Medical in Minnesota is seeking a skilled machinist to plan materials and operation sequences, set up and operate machine tools, and produce precision parts per detailed drawings. You will inspect parts, document work in the ERP system, and assemble components as needed.

The role requires 2–6 years of experience with milling/turning/grinding, good measurement skills, and strong teamwork. Regular 5S-compliant shop duties and cross-functional collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Two to six years relevant experience.
• Experience with milling, turning or grinding.
• Experience setting up and operating machine tools.
• Intermediate ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in the use of machinist hand tools and measuring tools, process planning and inspection.
• Machine shop math skills.
• Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Preferred: Experience editing programs through machine controls.
• Preferred: Experience using an ERP system.
• Preferred: A related machine trades certificate/diploma.

Responsibilities

• Plan and verify materials to be used and methods and sequences of operations.
• Set up machines and equipment with appropriate feeds, speeds, stops, clamps, fixtures and tooling.
• Operate machines to produce precision parts per customer specifications by interpreting blueprints.
• Inspect completed parts and address non-conformities.
• Enter data into ERP system and complete required job documentation.
• Fit and assemble parts into complete assemblies when required.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment following 5S.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
