Job summary

Chromalloy in Newnan, GA is seeking a Machinist (3rd shift 11:00pm-7:30am) to set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machines to produce precision components. The ideal candidate has keen attention to detail, works safely, reads blueprints, and uses GD&T to ensure conformance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade certification preferred.
• Machining certifications as specified by equipment manufacturers.
• Experience with CNC and/or manual machines valued but not required for entry-level roles.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machine tools to fabricate or repair precision components within tight tolerances.
• Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work orders to determine setups and sequences.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, pi tapes) to ensure conformance.
• Adjust feeds, speeds and tool offsets to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance; ensure safe operations.
