Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking a Machine Operator to keep production moving. You will maintain, service, and repair production equipment and electrical systems to ensure safe, efficient operations. This hands-on role supports product quality and equipment reliability on the production floor.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00pm–4:00am. The position requires reading and interpreting manuals, performing preventive maintenance, and following OSHA lockout/tagout and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Reading, writing and analytical skills required.
• Must own personal tools and be able to use hand tools and industrial shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret manufacturers' manuals, PM sheets, and safety policies.
• Perform equipment adjustments, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Handle lockout/tagout and safety regulations during production hours.
• Monitor equipment performance and report problems to supervisors.
• Maintain logbooks and calibrate machinery to performance standards.
• Provide hands-on training to junior mechanics.
• Keep equipment clean during and after shifts.
