Job summary

Perdue Foods, part of Perdue Farms, is seeking a Machine Operator to keep production moving by maintaining, servicing, and repairing production equipment and electrical systems. The role supports product quality and equipment reliability on the production floor.

Base rate is $21.25 per hour with potential premiums, shift differentials, overtime, and a yearly bonus based on performance. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm with weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience required.
• Reading and writing skills are required.
• Must have personal tools and be able to use hand tools and industrial shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret manufacturers' equipment manuals and safety policies.
• Perform equipment adjustments, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Handle production and non-production hours with OSHA Lockout/Tagout compliance.
• Monitor equipment performance and inform supervisors of issues.
• Maintain logbooks and calibrate machinery to performance standards.
• Provide hands-on training to junior mechanics and techs.
